Barbara Chiodo brings over 20 years of experience across the global theater industry, producing in London’s West End, at the Edinburgh Fringe, and in New York with Broadway productions including Back to the Future, Mean Girls, Operation Mincemeat, and more.


Mentored by the late Steve Fickinger (creator of The Lion King and Newsies), Barbara has grown Sipario Entertainment into a leading producing and investment platform that integrates creative development, capital raising, marketing strategy, and advanced data-driven analytics, designed to maximize both artistic impact and commercial success.


With a background as an investment banker and Chief Financial Officer, Barbara offers a rare blend of financial discipline and creative insight. Barbara holds degrees in Finance from Bocconi University, an MBA from INSEAD, an MFA in Performing Arts Management from Brooklyn College, and executive credentials from Columbia Business School and UCLA. She is recognized for her transparency, ethical rigor, and her ability to bridge financial strategy with artistic integrity.


An alumna of the Society of London Theatre and the Center Theatre Institute, and an active member of the Broadway League, Barbara also serves on the Board of the prestigious Ojai Playwrights Conference. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and children and remains deeply involved in shaping the cultural and theatrical landscape on both coasts.

Barbara has over two decades of experience in the theater industry, having produced inLondon andEdinburgh Fringe and worked at Jermyn Street Theatre and Theatre503. Her background as an investment banker and former Chief Financial Officer has equipped her with a unique perspective and skillset that she brings to every production.


After years of balancing a corporate career by day and producing by night, Barbara finally took the leap to become a full time Broadway producer (Back To The Future, Water For Elephants). She credits her late friend and mentor, Steve Fickinger (The Lion King, Newsies), for encouraging her to pursue her passion for theater. 


Known for her transparency and prompt communication, Barbara's ethical training as a CFO shines through in her work on every aspect of a production. Her impressive education includes degrees from prestigious institutions such as Bocconi University, INSEAD, UCLA and Columbia Business School. 


Barbara is an alumna of the Society of London TheaterCenter Theater Institute, and Theater Resource Limited in Broadway, as well as an active member of the Broadway League. She lives in Los Angeles, with her husband and children.
